Cleveland Sews is an education and workforce sewing program that stitches together Cuyahoga County’s social fabric, empowering individuals through the sewn trades, circular manufacturing, and restorative practices.
Through access to up-cycled materials and artisanal mentorship, community members:
LEARN about sustainability through the diversion of textile waste from the landfill as new resources;
REFINE craftsmanship via knowledge and skill-building;
ENGAGE in innovative product creation that impacts their local community; and
BUILD hope — within themselves and rippling out.
